GEE & ASH | WADHURST CASTLE
This Wadhurst Castle wedding was a dream location for Gee & Ash with picturesque gardens, a beautiful ballroom, and that winter garden! Let me tell you the story of Gee & Ash's Wadhurst Castle wedding.
To say this wedding was jam packed with emotion, chemistry, and fun would an understatement. Every detail from the flowers, the make-up, the dress, the venue, its beautiful gardens and games on the lawn was perfect for this couple. I could see the months of planning and careful thought to make this day so incredible and it was an absolute pleasure to be a part of.
I arrived at Wadhurst Castle in the morning and was blown away by the grandeur of this venue, it's no surprise it was featured in The Crown. I looked over to none other than Gee carrying trays across a gravel driveway in her wedding day pj's and flip flops, what an introduction! Upstairs for hair and makeup Gee goes and the atmosphere in the bridal suite was one of excitement and happiness with the sound of corks popping and champagne fizzing. All would agree that Gee looked stunning and had perfect style. The Wed2b wedding dress with finer details from Judy Mott Bridal elegantly matched her loose curls crafted by the amazing Mane Focus. Bridal perfection was finished off by Liberty Make Up as she blended a natural look for Gee. Bouquets from Pipsden Florists ready to go and bridesmaids eager to see Gee walk down the aisle we leave for Holy Trinity Church.
The ceremony was full of moments this couple will treasure for a lifetime. A church full of laughter and joy expressed towards the Vicar who made this ceremony a spiritual event with lessons of what it means to love. Everything a wedding ceremony should be - oh and their excitable, jumping dog made this extra special as they had the vital role of being ring bearer. After the I do's guests formed a tunnel outside the church for Gee & Ash to get completely covered in confetti! Then as everyone made their way back to Wadhurst Castle I borrowed the just married couple for photos on the church grounds, which was lovely as this provided them with a moment alone to be with each other and unpack the events that just occurred.
Upon Gee & Ash arriving back to Wadhurst Castle guests were treated to delicious canapés and drinks on the lawn with field games for all. I was able to borrow Gee & Ash again for photos in the gardens, which with the grandeur of the castle and beautiful weather Gee & Ash have portraits against picturesque backdrops forever.
The cake should get a special mention as this strawberry covered sponge had its finishing touches finalised just moments before the cake cutting and I think it was worth the wait and it tasted amazing.
Gee & Ash I'm so happy to have been picked to be your photographer because this wedding was incredible. I hope you treasure these photos for many years to come. Thank you for the kind gifts and making this one of my favourite days ever. I Wish you both many years of happiness together.
